Great while they lasted Rating:2 out of 5 stars I bought one set around July Loved them sound was awesome chat was awesome sad thing they only lasted to August then the left speaker stopped working. Now since the price was good and the headset was good i bought another pair ( Plus i had a gift card ) Once again great sound great chat but this set only lasted 2 weeks the tip that plugs for the headset for sound broke off worst part since it was the tip it was stuck inside my receiver and i couldn’t get it out and now my 5.1 surround sound is stuck in headset mood. Now i am 32 years old i own a a million electronic devices i build, repair computers and electronics as a living. I cherish ever item i own so when the first set broke i was like okay maybe i blown the speaker somehow since it was hooked up to my receiver, chuck that one to bad luck even tho it worked the night before, but the second set how the hell does a copper tip snap off inside a plug u cant bend it left or right it goes in and out, but it was snapped..
So my advice is if u never had a set of headphones for the xbox 360 and have a little bit of cash and like to roll the dice buy these they are great but u get what u pay for and thats a something that was cheaply made to save the money on cost for the consumer to buy now. i am ether hard headed or just have money to waste but i have order the x11 from turtle beach and i will review them soon hopeful these will get a my praise as for the xlc good luck if you can get a pair that last you have a great headset other wise its just 25$ and a lesson learned

A good product, but not for my uses Rating:3 out of 5 stars My main points:
* Chat was extremely hard to hear
* ear cups are not that comfortable.
* Other than that, a quality product.
After reading through quite a few reviews, I decided to order the XLC instead of the X11. My primary motivation was saving some money. After using the headset quite a few times, I have finally come to the decision to return it and upgrade to the X11. Like I said, it is a quality product, it simply does not fill the niche I need it to.
The only multiplayer games I play are Halo games, so my experience is skewed in that direction. In Halo you can NOT turn the volume down. Playing through a level of Reach, I could not hear anything my buddy was saying. Between the music, explosions, and dialogue, I could not hear him at ALL. In firefight & matchmaking it is slightly better, but if I am close to any explosion, I can’t hear anyone. This applies for anyone I am matchmaking with as well.
So, if you’re planning on using these for Halo games, go ahead and upgrade to the X11 which has separate volume controls for chat & game audio. I should have done that in the first place.
